![]() (Some of my software is tarp straps LOL! ) Warranty is 84 months with 3 yr free replacement. They are sqared off on top like a normal battery and the cells are funny round shaped things with provisions made in the construction to be compatible with conventional base mount battery mounting hardware/software. Had to grind on it a long time before the pickup started before. Old starter must have been ailing and sucking too much juice and taking it away from the ignition for a long time. Put on a reman starter and now just touch the key and the pickup starts. Turned out my starter was on its last legs. The single 6 yr old conventional battery that was in the pickup appeared to ge getting weak. The pickup doesn't really need 2 batteries but is set up for them (former utility pickup ) I can run 1 or 2 batteries as I choose. I put a pair of Orbital batteries in my '82 C20 with gas 350. Not sure if Orbitals are the same as Optima batteries? Ask me down the road a few years. Starts in cold weather as good or better than the 2 -6 volts. Got three of them and will only replace old lead acid batteries with Optima.Replaced 2 -6 volt lead acid with 1- 12 volt Optima in one of my 4430s. I never seen anybody use them in the ag world but in the jeep world people swear by them. My dad had read in consumer reports that they were the best battery that year so I bought one. I also use the feed truck to jump the 4020 down at the silo sometimes when it's really cold. ![]() I want a good, long lasting battery that will start in cold weather. ![]() I saw a thread a while back on Optima batteries, but it was regarding charging them. Well, my three year old feed truck battery failed today after just one feeding. ![]()
